Luke has this interesting idea that women do all the work and men do all the fun stuff. I don't know where he got it from. For the past half of a year, he has been saying the funniest things about girls (women) and boys (men).....and if some of you remember, Lydia said some very similar things. I certainly don't want you to think that Nathan does nothing, because he helps all the time and in every area of the housework. But, hey - my main place of work is the home, and that's what Luke sees all day.
A classic example is what he said at our friend's house two nights ago, as we sat at the table waiting for dessert. The mother was fixing-up some delicious fruit tarts, and Lydia was "helping" her. The rest of us sat at the table, and Luke said:
"Pastor Dean? How about you, and me and Daddy....and all the boys EAT the dessert. And all the girls can MAKE the dessert." ha ha ha!!!
We will have to fix this before his first date. :)
