No place like home

Well, we will not be moving into a new house. We recently had a realtor come by and give us an estimate as to what we could get if we sold the house, etc.

The first problem was how big the IF was.....IF we sold our house. The second problem was the very large sum of money that we would still owe the bank, IF we sold the house, and then used the profits to pay off our current mortgage. That is, the large sum of money we would owe before we even buy a new house.

SO, along with the wise counsel of this realtor, we decided we are going to just sit tight for a little while. What a pity - there are so many great houses out there to choose from! That is, of course, the biggest part of our problem, and yet our strongest reason for wanting to move. There are so many great houses to choose from - and ours would become just one of the hundreds that are currently for sale.

So instead of trying to keep the house clean, and the kids stuff put away, and the yard manicured and investing a few hundred dollars in touch-ups (although he said it really didn't look too bad at all!), and after all that, taking our house off of the market after a year or so....we are just going to enjoy being here.

And of course, I have tons of ideas as to how I am going to re-organize and decorate the beautiful home that we have. I am going to actually make Luke's room a little boy room, and make Lydia's room a little girl room. I am going to get some neat shelves and hooks and bins. And of course, there are always things to downsize - right? :) Now, the only real problem is how do we "add on space"? We have considered just buying another shed and installing a window and window AC for our guests..........:)
